Macmillan Coffee Morning is officially hosted at the end of September and is the perfect chance to meet up for a chat whilst raising money towards cancer support and research. Each year we host a coffee morning/afternoon at Thorpe House and this year is no different with ours being held on Thursday 21st September 2023.
How did it all begin….
The first Macmillan Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £290 million for Macmillan.

After a very successful CQC party we have invited back our live singer to entertain us through the afternoon followed by tea and coffee with delicious cakes made by the Thorpe House kitchen team.
