Happy New Year

Firstly, I would like to wish you all a happy new year.
As you will be aware, we are now in a 3rd National Lockdown as announce by the Prime Minister which is expected to last until at least mid-February. This now means there are specific reasons that people can leave home which are set out in law.
Visits to care homes are permitted during the National Lockdown but only in the visiting pod unless the home is in an outbreak where no visitors will be permitted.
As a result of new government guidance, we are now carrying out increased testing in line with this and so all staff are having a weekly PCR swab which is the weekly test we have been carrying out since September 2020. In addition to this staff are now having a rapid LFD test twice weekly in order to detect quickly if there are asymptomatic cases. We continue to test residents every 28 days in line with guidance.
Can I take this opportunity to remind you that we can facilitate phone and video calls including the use of zoom and skype applications to help with everyone keeping in contact over this hard time. Please phone the office phone to arrange this.
I hope to speak with you all again soon, take care and stay safe.
