Visiting Procedures Update 19/05/2021

In line with the Government update given last week, from Monday 17th May 2021 care home residents will be able to have 5 indoor visitors. This means that 5 people can visit in the same room as a resident as long as an LFD test is carried out. PPE will still need to be worn including a surgical face mask, disposable gloves, and a disposable apron. These visitors can visit on an individual basis or all together.
It will also be possible for these indoor LFD visitors to take residents our on a low risk outing without needing to isolate for 14 days on their return. A low-risk outing would be visiting an outdoor space only and residents must not enter any indoor setting, either public or private or they would need to isolate on their return for 14 days. If you would like to have a low risk outing that all attendees, including the resident must have a rapid test immediately before the outing.
If you would like to have an outing with your relative/friend, then please do contact the office to discuss this as it will be risk assessed on an individual basis.
